Error edit

Why is this displaying a parser function time error?--Launchballer 20:58, 8 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Looking over the documentation for the #time parser function, no example has just a standalone month or standalone date. I combined those two parser functions into the year one, and it seems to work. Make sure the second unnamed parameter defaults to some single digit—it didn't before—and the third and fourth parameters have a leading zero if the month is Jan-Sep or the date 1-9, respectively (otherwise, the time parser function thinks you're talking about this month and this date). The URL works correctly even if the \7509\ doesn't appear at the end. Personally, I'd set the second unnamed parameter to be a four-digit year, since the archive does go as far back as 14 Nov 1952 (edit: and in case the archive keeps its format into the 2020s), but I'm guessing you're designing the template for much narrower use. Rotideypoc41352 According to the link you've provided 'm' and 'd' should be zero-padded.--Launchballer 19:57, 11 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Oldest chart-topper edit

My footnote on the current No. 1:

<ref name="Moore" group="nb">Six days before his hundredth birthday, Moore became the oldest person ever to top the charts</ref>

was removed with an edit summary suggesting it was "too trivial". I disagree. What do others think? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 10:52, 25 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

As far as the chart is concerned, it is but another week; List of UK Singles Chart number ones of the 2000s has never noted that Tom Jones was the oldest person to top the chart. I'm surprised UK Singles Chart records and statistics doesn't record it - might add it myself.--Launchballer 14:31, 25 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
