Although there is a monument in Gonzales, Texas edit

the link that we are calling Texas Heroes Monument takes one to a monument in Galveston, Texas, not Gonzales, like we say. Could we maybe slow down and sort of double check stuff? Carptrash (talk) 03:46, 23 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Copied and pasted from Doncram's post on the other talkpage. Feel free to fix it. By the way, the First Shot of the Texas Revolution Monument is in Cost, Texas according to Google Street View...Zigzig20s (talk) 04:03, 23 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
Hmmmm I just fixed the Cost one. With a reference. Carptrash (talk) 04:21, 23 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

I'm sure there was some reason why i thot the Texas Heroes Monument was in Gonzales; thanks for finding a somewhat differently named one there. This list-article topic doesn't seem to be as exciting as some others, why? --Doncram (talk) 02:10, 24 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
Localism is sadly not in vogue among academics these days--I think we skipped it in grad school for example. I'm having to watch lectures on C-SPAN like this one to get a better understanding of the context. There are more.Zigzig20s (talk) 03:50, 24 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
For a DYK nomination, we will need to have a decent list by the 29th-30th.Zigzig20s (talk) 03:57, 24 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
The Sons of the Republic of Texas and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas may have a list. The Sons used to (or still do, not sure) publish The Texian, which could have more info.Zigzig20s (talk) 05:45, 24 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
