Unexplained edits on 5-Nov edit

Regarding the extensive edits on Nov. 5 from an IP address 13.13.137.2 - I'd appreciate an explanation for many of these. You've dropped several individuals who were notable enough to have Wikipedia articles, memberships in the National Academy, etc.. I'd be happy to discuss this further; in the case of living persons, if you object to someone's inclusion, it would be best if you offered explanations at my talk page.Easchiff 20:52, 5 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I've now restored the deletions in one section. My criteria for inclusion on this list: some connection with Syracuse (as student, professor, etc.), and sufficient notability either to (i) have a Wikipedia article, or (ii) as a placeholder until somebody does write a Wikipedia article. Dave Meggyesy edit

I added a link in the sports section to the Dave Meggyesy article that I just started. I can find lots about his book and the related controversy, but almost nothing about his high school, college and NFL careers. The pro football databases do not have defensive statistics for the 1960s, except for the number of games played. There are a couple of Google News hits that say he was an All-American at Syracuse, but I'd have to pay for an article in order to see the details--such as whose list he was on. If anybody has access to sources of Meggyesy's performance at Solon, Syracuse, or St. Louis, please add it to the infobox or start a new section. The article still seems stubbish for NFL and college football projects. BTW, I'm interested in him because of his politics and his one year coaching at my high school, not because I'm into football. Maybe there are obvious sources that I just don't know about.--Hjal (talk) 05:29, 12 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
