Can we add a section in the discussion page where the contributors list their sources for the stats.

Match by Match stats (including aggregated player stats) http://www.itsrugby.co.uk/

Tables & Statistics

Hi all,

I was looking to format the Super Rugby statistics into a table rather than a list however came across a problem verifying any of the appearance / tries / points statistics for Super Rugby and finding different stats on different sites, including on Wikipedia: here and here. Does anyone know of a reliable data set to use?

I've provided the first few rows of the future table below.

Accounting for COVID-19

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

2020 and 2021 have definitely disrupted the records and many of the regionalised records are difficult to compare to the other seasons. This problem already existed with the 18 team version only existing for two years, but is now truly an issue.

I'm going to come back in October 2021 and re-organise the records into four eras: Super 12, Super 14, Super Rugby (2011-2019), and Super Rugby (2020-present). If sources can be found, I'll extend back to include Super 10 and/or Super 6. I will also group the records by year instead of being isolated in one competition.

Roffschoice, I agree that some work needs to be done in tidying this up. Personally I feel that some sections could be removed as I don't think they're particularly important (quickest try, certain "in a final" categories, most penalties, most conversions, most drop goals). The career records section I feel is fine and doesn't need to be changed, however the other two sections do need improving. Finding sourcing may be difficult though.
