"Unrecognized by NWA" mentions edit

The NWA's current feelings should have no bearing on this page's info. The WCW era NWA tag champs were recognized by the NWA at the time they held the belts, and just because NWA has some weird change of heart nearly two decades later shouldn't affect that. The note on the main page about the NWA's stance should be sufficient and this page should list those champions without respect to NWA's retroactive history.76.232.152.231 (talk) 06:28, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

This is the history of the World Tag title controlled by the NWA Board of Directors which started in 1992. WCW's version was controlled by WCW, but was recognized as the NWA World Tag titles. That version became the WCW World Tag titles. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DanteAgusta (talkcontribs) 06:48, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
And you know that's a load of bullshit. TonyFreakinAlmeida (talk) 00:04, 23 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

There is overwhelming evidence that during 1992 and 1993 there were NWA World Tag team Champions, people had belts, matches were held, recorded etc. Just because the NWA, as of 2008, decides these events never occured doesn't mean they never happened. Wasn't there some hoopla about some former prono chick wanting her wikipedia article to only begin after her original career? Regardless of what the present NWA suits have to say, the indisputable fact is that there were definitely NWA World Tag team Champions in 1992 and 1993, and no amount of revisionism and lying can change that fact. Perhaps a separate table listing "Unrecognized NWA Tag Champions during the WCW era" can be added? Simply acting as though these reigns never existed in plain falsehood. 196.25.255.194 (talk) 07:50, 5 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

No. They need to be re added in. Note that they are no longer recognized in the paragraph before the list of champions, but they need to be noted that they did happen and that the titles were in WCW and at one time unified and defended together with the WCW World Tag Team Championship. Oh the hypocrisy. The same people that say there were champions, the matches did happen, etc. ignore the situation with the NWA World Heavyweight Title in 1984. Ric Flair lost the title to Harley Race in Wellington, New Zealand and two days later regained the title in Kallang, Singpore. At the time the NWA ignored the switches because they didn't book them. As of the early 90's onward, the NWA has recognized them, with the reasoning being that the matches did happened. Yet some marks feel the switches should be ignored. You can't have it both ways. Oh, btw, the NWA Board did NOT control the World Tag Team Title in 1992. They officially recognized it, but the title did not fall under Board control until 1998. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.8.177.24 (talk) 11:23, 2 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

So is there a consensus to add all the pre-1992 information to the list again? I found title information going back to 1975. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 03:04, 2 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

No, this discussion just died. A dead discussion is not a consensus.--WillC 06:54, 2 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Title of table columns edit

The first table currently has columns with the titles: "Days Held", "Days Held", and "Location". Should the second "Days Held" be "Location" and the current "Location" be "Broadcast"? 199.46.200.232 (talk) 16:31, 11 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

#63 on the table edit

It's probably an easy fix, but when looking at the table the #63 entry appears to be empty, though the information is present if you look at the edit-data. I'm assuming it's just some sort of wikitable error (missing bracket or something) but I don't know enough about building tables to risk trying to fix it! 2A00:23C6:760A:7F01:F4D9:D6FA:4801:6327 (talk) 19:04, 3 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • Fixed it, good catch. FYI it had a | in front of the name, that's what did it in case you see the problem in other articles you'll know how to fix it. MPJ-DK (talk) 21:44, 3 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Vacated for WWF angle edit

The sources listed under external links don't list a date for the '97 vacancy for the WWF angle. It also doesn't make sense that it would have been in October. The relationship with the WWF didn't begin until January, and by all accounts it was a last-minute arrangement.
