Puzzles edit

I don't understand the following:

  • "forced to partner with former tennis player Yuu" [why "former"?]
  • "Yuu quit his job for the winter break" (temporarily stops working during the winter break?)
  • "Suzu slips and tells Satoshi what she did, mistakenly believing Meiko was in love with Yuu," [does Suzu really believe that, given that there is no mention previously (I think) of any relationship between Meiko and Yuu?]
  • "was in love with Chiyako, who is really his cousin by blood." [why the word "really"? cousin by marriage?]
  • "he keeps his promise to meet her at the park they met on Christmas Eve to exchange presents." (??)

I hope it's clear why I don't understand the above; if not, I can explain further for any of these that aren't clear. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 23:16, 12 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

No problem. Hope this helps
  • Yuu was in the tennis club at his previous school but refused to join the club when he moved to the new school after the marriage.
  • In the text, he says he quit his job. He was hired back after teh winter break though, so temporarily stopped working would be accurate.
  • Suzu had a conversation with Meiko in which Meiko said she loved someone who she could never be with, refering to Namura. Suzu, not knowing about Namura and believing that Meiko and Yuu were a prettier couple presumed it was Yuu.
  • Chiyako calls him her brother, and he calls her sister because Chiyako's family adopted him after his parents died. By blood, they are cousins.
  • In making plans for the holiday, Miki and Yuu agreed they would exchange presents at a nearby park where they regularly meet to have time alone where their family won't see.

Chapter list counts edit

Volume three has chapters 11 through 15, but volume four shows volumes 15 through 19. I just read them, but didn't bother to count myself (and I've already returned them), so I can't check on this, but I'm pretty sure chapter 15 wasn't spread between two volumes. —Dinoguy1000 18:23, 5 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Tee hee...you would be correct. Fixing now :) -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 18:45, 5 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

ISBN edit

Hi,

I converted all the ISBN-10 numbers into ISBN-13 Format using this. As volumes reprints would likely use the newer ISBN-13 format. --KrebMarkt 14:51, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

I was wondering why you were doing that lately, but knowing you were using a converter concerns me a bit. While in general that is how it should work, the original ISBN will also be fine and sometimes the ISBN 13 is very different from what the converted 10 would be. While either is acceptable for use here, I did 10 here specifically because 13s were not listed for some volumes. If it is going to be converted to 13, I'd rather see it coming from either the books themselves or confirmed by some reliable source rather than using a converter. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 15:10, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
No problem ;) Just that in the long run we would have to switch to it. Amazon is currently using both standard and Barnes & Noble is unless i mistaken fully isbn-13. The real difference is the last digit used for error control. --KrebMarkt 16:20, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
B&N lists 13, but it recognizes the 10 as well. Pretty much any decent retailer/directory will recognize the 10s since there are a lot of older books that only have 10s. :) -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 16:32, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Just FYI, Shueisha recognises ISBN-13s used in its URLs[1] and will serve the appropriate page. ダイノガイ千?!? · Talk⇒Dinoguy1000 07:02, 23 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
