Talk:List of Mac Mini specifications

Why does this exist? edit

This article is ill-fitting compared to those of the other Macs. No other Macs have their specifications in a separate article. If it were to be split at all, I would probably do it based on the architecture (which I did propose earlier but it was unsuccessful), the way the iMac and MacBook Air currently are. I see this happening to the MacBook Pro and Mac Pro in the future. And before you ask, I don't expect any other entirely discontinued lines to return. If they do give them their own article the way the MacBook was. The split would be: Current article would be general information, and then a generation specific article for the G4 Mac Mini, and then the Intel models, and then for Apple Silicon. Specifications would be on their respective sections. Only one would be found on the G4. For the Intel models they would go under the sections and be labeled accordingly by which intel generation they are. The polycarbonate would be the first generation Intel (Second overall), while the silver aluminium would be second generation and the space gray would be the third generation. The current Apple Silicon Mac Mini is the fifth generation overall but first generation Apple Silicon (but just to be clear let's wait until we can say with more certainty there will be second generation). 100% agree. The specifications should be integrated back into the main article, like all other Mac model articles. If you need to split, pick some architectures.  Tabanger  01:52, 4 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

@QuarioQuario54321 and Tabanger: I have merged it into Mac Mini. —GoldRingChip 16:26, 6 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
