Last date of bestowal edit

The article states " A total of 7,322 awards were made between its first presentation on 30 September 1939 and its last bestowal on 17 June 1945." Nazi Germany unconditionally surrendered on 7 May 1945 and the German government was abolished by the Allied powers effective that date. How does that reconcile with the statement in the article? Good question! Georg-Wolfgang Feller was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on 17 June 1945 by General-Admiral Walter Warzecha. Feller has to be considered a de-facto recipient but not a de-jure. The AKCR lists him as such. MisterBee1966 (talk) 04:57, 26 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Article issues? edit

MisterBee1966 and K.e.Coffman, are there any quality issues with this page? The article is currently promoted as Featured Article List (my bad). --George Ho (talk) 06:58, 30 December 2016 (UTC) Re-pinging K.e.coffman. 07:00, 30 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

@George Ho: I've commented here to outline my concerns: Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross recipients (Ba–Bm)/archive1#Comments by K.e.coffman. The comments apply to all lists in the series, including this one. K.e.coffman (talk) 05:02, 12 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
@K.e.coffman: You can read Wikipedia:Featured list removal candidates and then decide to whether add {{FLRC}}. --George Ho (talk) 06:50, 15 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Self-referential links edit

This article contains a lot of self-referential links. If you click any of the listed recipients on this page you will most likely be referred back to it. Many of the recipients are not notable enough to deserve their own article. The self-referential links should be removed. Haage42 (talk) 18:17, 29 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Very frustrating too. I was wondering whether Wilhelm-Ernst Freiherr von Cramm was any relation to the Cramms who married into the Dutch royal house, but it just links back to this article. Valetude (talk) 02:00, 22 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
