DOP and DOC edit

UNDO redirect: DOP is referred to food and oils, while DOC is referred to wines. I understand that to a non expert on the issue this might seem a slight difference but it is a substantial difference for all those who worked to see their products recognised at a European and international level, and it is as clear as the sunlight to almost any Italian, French, Spanish, Greek or anyone who has a minimum level of food culture. --Vale new (talk) 22:12, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

I'm unfamiliar with the topic, but blanking isn't the solution. Take it to WP:RfD. Swarm X 12:46, 5 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
Neither redirecting to a wrong page, I guess --Vale new (talk) 12:48, 5 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
No, RfD is where you nominate redirect pages for deletion. That's it, we delete the whole page, instead of just removing all the text. It will be incorrect until it's deleted, but we seriously can't just blank it. Of course, you can always just retarget the redirect, but don't do it if it's wrong. If you're going to make the page into an actual article, be sure to remove the redirect. If not, it has to stay as is. Don't add templates like that anymore. Swarm X 12:56, 5 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
