Filipino-American edit

Why we claim Fil-Am athletes whereas they're represents as an American sports players? Its pathetic to imagine that claiming even small Filipino-blooded people which actually a foreigner and alienated in the Philippines. Please get a list for true Filipino athletes. Scope/title edit

What is the scope of this article? The title is List of Filipino athletes but there's a note in the article warning not to add Manny Pacquiao because he's not Filipino-American. Most of the entries on the list are not Filipinos but of Filipino ancestry. ... discospinster talk 15:05, 30 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

I've moved it to List of Filipino-American athletes, since that's been its subject since it was created. ... discospinster talk 15:12, 30 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Tim Tebow edit

I have reverted the addition of Tim Tebow in the football section. He does not fall under the scope of the article, as the scope requires the subject to be an "American athletes of Filipino ancestry." Within that scope, the subject is not of Filipino ancestry, even though he was born in Makati.--RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 01:36, 12 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Jason Day edit

I removed Jason Day, he is not American... He is Filipino-Australian (which is on another article in Wikipedia). He has a funny Aussie accent...so please do not put him here... It is totally wrong. 66.234.208.83 (talk) 01:53, 21 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

His article verifies that he resides in the United States. But I won't contest the removal.--RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 04:52, 24 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

It was added again, I removed it again. Day is Australian. However, there is a Filipino-American golfer that seemingly was missed. J.J. Spaun who is currently on the PGA tour, he's from Los Angeles, and his mother is Filipina. I added that today.2601:648:8680:110:C148:28E6:D1D9:2B2D (talk) 20:10, 15 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Blatche and Douthit edit

I actually added Douthit since I saw Blatche and no one was removing him. But then I figured, they do not have Filipino ancestry which is what the list is all about. So will have to remove them. Tbb 911 (talk) 19:27, 14 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
