Pembroke Ministry edit
This has been a red link since it was first added back in 2004. I tried Googling for it, but the only reference I found to a Pembroke ministry that wasn't a WP:MIRROR of this list actually referred to the 14th century Aymer de Valence, 2nd Earl of Pembroke. User:Gregg~enwiki is no longer active, so we can't ask him where he got his list from. Haydn's Book of Dignities shows no change in the government in 1699, and Tout's History of Great Britain gives the First Whig Junto in power up to 1701. However, the History of Parliament says that in autumn 1700 William III "constructed a new ministry along Tory lines", which remained in office throughout the 1701 Parliament, and then formed a new administration in January 1702. The King died on 8 March 1702 and Queen Anne appointed the Godolphin–Marlborough ministry. The entry for Thomas Herbert, 8th Earl of Pembroke in the ODNB says he was Lord President of the Council from 1699 to 1702 and First Lord of the Admiralty from 1701 to 1702, but makes no mention of his leading the government during this time. Scotland edit
The documentation of past governments is a bit one-sided. There is plenty written about the ministers and officials of England, but none about Scotland. Do we have the relevant information for the government north of the border? Robin S. Taylor (talk) 18:15, 22 December 2018 (UTC)
