DSiWare edit

DSiWare has been announced from http://www.nintendo.co.uk/NOE/en_GB/news/2008/nintendo_introduces_dsi_9691.html Vernon (Versus22) (talk) 05:29, 25 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Applications edit

i think we nedd to incorporate the applications like the moving notepad —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nintendofootball (talkcontribs) 17:31, 26 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Maybe making separate articles would be better (seeing the XBOX Live & PlayStation Network articles). However, I say we should bring it up to WP:VG first and see what other users opinions are. Vernon (Versus22) (talk) 21:21, 16 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

The wii channel Wii no Ma was resently released on May 1st, as well as this a DSi app was released which allows you to download videos, shown in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjEiMeJ09RA Shouldn't this be incorperated?

Pricing edit

I know a dev kit is $2000 for WiiWare. For DSi ware...Tailsfan2 (talk) 16:08, 21 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Moving Notepad release dates edit

As of this moment, there are no official non-Japanese release dates for either Moving Notepad or Moving Notepad V2. Please stop attributing release dates to this software unless you have a reliable source for them. If you do have such a source and are adding the dates into the article, please make sure to put your source in as a reference so that the rest of us know for sure the dates are legit. Thank you! :3 Khisanth (talk) 16:21, 30 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Article Size edit

24.143.226.138, you have changed the links to articles multiple times to specify the exact places the redirects that are being used here already link to. the only difference between what you're doing and what we keep reverting to is a tiny, gray-text 'redirected from blah-blah-blah' underneath the article name. Article size is not an issue yet, but it will be in the future (try List of Playstation games for an example of an article with a long load-time due to its size), and us not having to double back and re-edit things later on is going to make things easier for everyone.

if you would like to try renaming some of those articles to a more 'perfect' or 'right' title so that the links here become 'perfect' or 'right', more power to you. -- Khisanth (talk) 21:00, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Format of date edit

The current format for the date isn't clear and it prohibits you from sorting the dates correctly. I suggest following the format for the European Virtual Console games (2009-06-05) which is shorter and can be better sorted 05:17, 5 June 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.201.81.153 (talk)

  • looks like it'll be easier to code, too -- [[2009-12-12]] versus [[December 12]], [[2009]], for example. i'll bite. -- Khisanth (talk) 08:32, 5 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • actually, i kinda went back and forth on this after reading WP:DATE before coming to the conclusion that since this article covers international release dates, it should probably reflect the ISO standard. if it had been a NA-only article, I don't think I would have gone through with the edit after all. -- Khisanth (talk) 09:20, 5 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Applications Section edit

I removed Facebook Add-On and SlingPlayer from the applications section since the Facebook Add-On is not a applications it's a ADD-ON. I removed SlingPlayer since there is no proof of this. Thank you.--71.161.40.23 (talk) 00:06, 16 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Nintendo DSi + Internet application edit

On my DSiXL, there was a pre-loaded channel called "Nintendo DSi + Internet". It's simply a 2 1/2 minute video talking about taking your DSi online and buying stuff/playing online. Since this video shows shots of the original DSi and never really mentions the DSiXL, it seems that an "official" release date might be before the DSiXL was launched... Since I bought my DSi at launch (and it didn't include this channel), I'm not sure how to add this to the applications list... 70.106.129.109 (talk) 16:45, 2 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Adding and updating information edit

I'm quite new to proper Wikipedia editing, so I apologise in advance if this topic might be in the wrong section.

1. Why are many game titles and publishers placed in italic mode?
2. Is it fine to leave sections blank of which TBA or NA is not known of?

I'm adding European titles and updating European information on existing entries.

DSiWare on the Nintendo 3DS edit

I've read that there's a system where games you've downloaded on the Nintendo DSi and DSi XL can be transfered on to the Nintendo 3DS, as well as there being a Virtual Console system for the 3DS, where you can download Game Boy and Game Boy Color titles. However, I'm not sure if the DSiWare's shop can also be found on the 3DS as well, or if it's just for transfering purposes. - AGreatPhoenixSunsFan (talk) 02:15, 30 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposing a "DSiWare" article that links to this one edit

I personally think having information spread across three articles (List of DSiWare games and applications, List of DSiWare games (North America), List of DSiWare games (PAL region)) is awful for the reader. Much like WiiWare, there should be a centralized "DSiWare" article, which links to these lists. Somewhatviable (talk) 01:28, 17 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Isn't this one redundant to the two regional ones? I don't think we need to make yet another one, I think we need to redirect/merge the regional ones into here, where its already covered. This article already serves the purpose you're describing. Sergecross73 msg me 16:43, 28 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
In that case, the two most sensible courses of action would be:
  1. Turn this page into a dedicated DSiWare page, and split off the Japanese list to a new page (for parity with the North American and PAL region lists); or
  2. Split DSiWare into its own page, and merge the Japanese and North American lists into this page.
In either case, it would still be necessary to have a standalone DSiWare page. Or at least, DSiWare would redirect to a section on the Nintendo DSi page that describes it (instead of here). DSiWare should be detailed on a content page (i.e. non-list page) somewhere, and what to do with this list page and the regional list pages is a separate matter. --SnorlaxMonster 10:34, 29 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
There's not really much to say beyond "DSiWare is/are small digital games that could be downloaded to a DSi and 3DS" so I really don't think splitting out a new article is the answer. Sergecross73 msg me 22:21, 29 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
