Let me know which ones you think should be added, and I'll add them. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 03:28, 26 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hmm. I don't have much experience with this sort of thing, but I suspect that the most important staff would be Director, main character designor, director of photography, and music. Oh, and that it's a production of TV Tokyo in collaboration with Shogakukan-Shueisha Production, with animation produced by Synergy SP. Q: Isn't episode director a possible field in the episode template?
Question: Are episodes credits acceptable as RS for verifying seiyu cast ? If so that would solve any support cast seiyu listing issue --KrebMarkt 21:03, 26 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yes, though finding them listed in a magazine or something is better. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 21:12, 26 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Version 2 is the limited edition. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 15:37, 27 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
通常盤 = "Normal edition" —Quasirandom (talk) 15:53, 27 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Sorry Sorry to be so inept in Japanese. The singles peak rank are surprising good. --KrebMarkt 16:00, 27 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Good pop songs from a popular franchise with strong media machines behind them. —Quasirandom (talk) 16:14, 27 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

How to handle edit

In Episode 23, the teaser before the opening credits is, for the first time, a recap of the previous episode -- as if it's the second half of a two-part episode. The story is also structured as a two-parter, with direct references at the end of 23 to events early in 22, but that's even more interpretive. My inclination is to ignore this until there's direct evidence it's a two-part episode, but I thought I'd put the notion on the table. —Quasirandom (talk) 21:41, 7 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Did this issue get resolved? ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe 21:07, 1 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
There is no indication in any episode or on the website guides that there are two-part episodes, so I never called it out. Later in the series, there were occasional recaps at the start, especially if the previous episode stopped mid-action (like, middle of a game). So, yeah, resolved. —Quasirandom (talk) 22:18, 1 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Web cite edit

It seems the server for http://www.webcitation.org/ is being upgraded, so we'll have to wait for it to come back up or find another web page archive service. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe 01:24, 30 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Either way. We've got a fair amount of work to be done before this is ready for an FLC anyway. (Though we could stand to reevaluate the current rating.) Now that the series is over, I want to adjust some descriptions in light of the whole story, including de-emphasizing things that seemed important at the time but went nowhere. Not to mention do a pass through to tighten my sometimes crappy first-draft prose. Then a thorough copyedit. Plus more thoroughly documenting the DVD releases. —Quasirandom (talk) 18:15, 30 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
Sounds good to me. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe 19:34, 30 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Summary size edit

For the record, my goal is make each episode summary between 150-200 words, preferably on the lower end of that. There's a couple that might poke over that, but in general, that seems to be the right size for an adequate summary. (I'm also, where the adaptation makes it possible, copying phrases from the better-edited list of chapters.) —Quasirandom (talk) 20:17, 1 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sounds like a plan. It will be good to make sure they are similar where possible. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe 21:04, 1 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

And that's this pass, including using the manga phrasings where possible. I want to revisit a couple for prose style, and two those also happen to be just over the 150-200 range, but once I finish the tweaks, I think we'll be ready for the nest step ... whatever that may be. Peer review? (preferably from someone who's taken an episode list through FAC recently and so knows the current unwritten standards?) or ... what? —Quasirandom (talk) 02:59, 7 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Probably peer review. May as well take it a step at a time. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 04:29, 7 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Things missing from this article (and the main one) edit

That the anime is currently being streamed with subtitles from Viz's website. As in, it's licensed. —Quasirandom (talk) 20:47, 8 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

That's mentioned in the main article for sure (as I placed it there). It's in the Media section, under Anime. I've placed the same little paragraph at the end of the firs tone on this page. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 22:35, 8 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
Geh. You're right. Missed it while I was gone. —Quasirandom (talk) 03:13, 9 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
No problem. I do that all the time. :) ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 07:28, 9 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Stupid question: has anyone watched any of the streaming episodes, and so can give the official translations/transliterations of various terms/names? Such as, for ex, how they romanize Kō's name and whether it's the prefab, farm, or second-string team ... —Quasirandom (talk) 16:27, 10 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

And following up on myself, I've been doing that, and tracking the results on Talk:Cross Game. —Quasirandom (talk) 14:15, 23 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sawa edit

She's listed only as "Sawa". ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 04:05, 23 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Gotcha. Thanks. —Quasirandom (talk) 14:14, 23 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Next steps edit

Next steps, while I gird my loins for putting this up for a formal peer review, probably in the next few days:

  • Give slightly more info about story/characters in the lead (I'll work on this this weekend).
  • Compress the music paragraph, to make it more succinct and less rebarbative (I'll work on this this weekend).
  • Other anime FLs don't seem to include any reception information, saving that for the main article. Remove?
  • Track down info on the Japanese DVD releases -- specifically, date of the last release, with a source, ought to be enough.
  • Finish archiving the last citations.

Can anyone think of anything else? —Quasirandom (talk) 20:37, 16 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

I don't know that including reception info is a bad thing, even if other FLs don't include it. I don't see that it will hurt things, anyway. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 17:59, 17 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
I'm mostly worried about the length of the lead. —Quasirandom (talk) 21:47, 17 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Ah, well, there is that. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 00:22, 18 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
