The rateyourmusic.com external link was added as an aid to include additional artists to this list. Of course, until the early 1950s the list overlaps with the artists' list for the American Columbia Records. Steelbeard1 (talk) 13:04, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

Genres

As this list excludes all the other classical artists who appeared on the UK Columbia label, why does it include the somewhat obscure London String Quartet who only appeared on 78s. There were jazz artists too : Tubby Hayes, for instance.
