Katamari?

The Grubble gum episode uses music to that found in Katamari Damacy...should it be mentioned here?

Here? No, this list is pretty much dormant for now. Main article? Probably not either, just trivia. --treelo talk 00:48, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
  • Well, considering Greenblatt is apparently a fan [1], that doesn't surprise me. Maybe a little later on, when the main art gets a bit more developed. Yngvarr 01:01, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
  • Nevermind, looks like someone beat you to the punch [2], so perhaps I'll link that blog entry as a reference Yngvarr 01:03, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

Suggestions

  • I suggest that a user edits the List of Chowder Episodes on Season 2 where there's Panini For President/Chowder's Babysitter and put a description for Chowder's Babysitter. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.203.116.126 (talk) 23:56, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

Added Production Codes

I added the Production Codes, Colors, the links Template below,... Speeda psx (talk · contribs) 18:24, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

About that template, I nominated it for deletion as it simply doesn't need to exist to connect three articles together and you didn't discuss it anywhere. As for prod codes, are these merely guesswork on your part or do you have sourcing for them? treelo radda 20:25, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
Sorry I'm still learning...
Read my comments about the template on the deletion page..
About the Prod. codes: all CN shows use these codes, Ind I found a few, but not all.Speeda psx (talk · contribs) 18:12, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
Get a source for the codes or they're gone. treelo radda 18:22, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
By which is meant a reliable source; prod codes posted on a CN.com website, or referenced via the closing credits ala the Simpsons. Things like imdb aren't considered reliable. Yngvarr (t) (c) 19:23, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
Revert it treelo, and leave me alone I have enough of deletionists already.
So what if the Infobox has too little articles? It still is useful. So what if I don't post what I'm gonna change. STOP STALKING ME. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Speeda psx (talkcontribs) 07:53, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
Nobody is stalking, there are a few regulars who keep their hands in this article, and we'd all like to see it maintained at a level of high Wikipedia standards. I know I'm not the only one who would love to see this particular article elevated to WP:GA, maybe even WP:FA. Everything needs to be cited to reliable sources; I would recommend you check out the Cartoon Network Wikiproject Manual of Style, which was written to address many of these things. Yngvarr (t) (c) 10:23, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
Heh, he thinks it's a inclusionist/deletionist argument. Yknow that sort of crap will get you no favours from me as "inclusionist" doesn't mean "add and keep any old junk, with or without citation". treelo radda 10:33, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
Ah, forget it, I reverted it. Speeda psx (talk · contribs) 10:54, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
I saw that, don't let it get in the way of editing any further though. You're a decent editor and once you get more knowledge under your belt you should be fine. treelo radda 11:31, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

The actual production codes for CN shows follow the ###-### format. The first three digits remain the same for the entire season, while the last three changes depending on the episode. I don't have all the codes for "Chowder", but managed to find several from the copyright catalog (and the "Grape Worm" code comes from director Mike Milo's website)

673-027 - The Bruised Bluenana
673-028 - Shnitzel & the Lead Farfel
673-029 - The Rat Sandwich
673-039 - Brain Grub
684-011 - The Party Cruise
684-013 - Won-Ton Bombs
684-015 - The Big Hat Biddies
684-035 - The Grape Worm

It appears that all season 1 episodes have 673 numbers, while season 2 has 684.

Cartoon-Fan (talk) 15:47, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Speaking of this, I've compiled a list of production codes and whatnot: User:Nhjm449/ChowderEpisodesOrder. It would be awesome if someone who worked with the series posted a list of ###-###-style codes somewhere. *sigh* - nhjm449 (talk) 06:23, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Found one more

501-037 - The Froggy Apple Crumple Thumpkin

From http://nerdarmada.blogspot.com/2006/03/chowder-people.html

"Froggy Apple" was a pilot episode, hence it doesn't use the 673 code.

Cartoon-Fan (talk) 18:16, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

More numbers. Found them from Mike Milo's website http://www.milowerx.com/exposure-sheets

684-005 - The Flying Flinger Lingons
684-018 - The Trouble with Truffles
684-023 - Big Food
684-032 - The Garden

And these are some other numbers. I got them from the filenames of Chowder production arts that were being posted on the show staffs' web blogs

673-012 - The Wrong Address
673-016 - The Puckerberry Overlords
673-019 - The Elemelons
673-033/673-034 - Shnitzel Quits
673-040 - Cream Puff Hand
684-007/684-008 - Hey Hey Its Knishmas
684-014 - The Hot Date
Cartoon-Fan (talk) 17:59, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Found more.

673-015 - Gazpacho Stands Up
673-022 - The Moldy Touch
673-025 - At Your Service
684-021 - Gazpacho Fights Back

Polish airdates

Apparently, several episodes of "Chowder" premiered in Poland...before it aired in USA. This includes "Won-Ton Bombs", "The Big Hat Biddies", "The Deadly Maze", "The B.L.T.'s" and "The Trouble with Truffles". At least, according to the Polish wikipedia.

http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lista_odcinków_serialu_animowanego_Chowder

I know the first three titles I mentioned exists. It was originally scheduled to air this month on CN, but it got rescheduled to air in June instead (and "Won Ton" is available through the Cartoon Network on Demand service). But Polish television beat us to punch few months early.

So should we include these episodes in the guide, along with the airdates? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cartoon-Fan (talkcontribs) 20:11, April 17, 2009

Even if you had a reliable source for the airings, I wouldn't find it necessary to add them here. I wouldn't disagree with a footnote after they air in North America, and the episodes are added, but we'd still need something more reliable than the pl.wikipedia. Yngvarr (t) (c) 01:41, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
Just to clarify, it appears that Poland DID get these episodes first (plus one additional half-hour: The Dinner Theater). I downloaded them thru a Polish website (and Trouble with Truffles was on YouTube until it got taken down). But I'll agree to wait until its USA debut before mentioning them. Cartoon-Fan

Upcoming episodes

For those interested, here is a list of technically-public upcoming new episodes:
June 11 : The BLT's / The Trouble with Truffles
June 18 : Gazpacho Fights Back
June 25 : The Dinner Theatre (Part 1 & 2)
July 02 : Big Ball
- Nhjm449 (talk) 21:21, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Technically public? I getcha, generally though we don't add until an airdate or with a source even if an episode is known to exist and is viewable, a technicality if you like. Still, good to know what's upcoming, nice work. treelo radda 21:37, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
Oh, and I just found this blog post by director Mike Milo that lists the season two episodes that he directed: [3]. Nhjm449 (talk) 22:45, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
That's helpful indeed, don't know if it's any bit usable in the article given the best the source can give is titles but a source is a source. treelo radda 09:13, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

And more:
July 09 : The Brain Freeze
July 16 : The Snail Car
July 23 : The Lollistops
July 30 : Endive's Dirty Secret / Big Food
- Nhjm449 (talk) 01:34, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

August 06 : Paint the Town / The Blackout (confirmable)
August 13 : The Dice Cycle / The Chain Recipe
- nhjm449 (talk) 08:33, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

August 20 : The Garden / Sheboodles
- nhjm449 (talk) 22:20, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

September 03 : My Big Fat Stinky Wedding

No new Chowder on October 1st due to an airing of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. So the next episode, a season 2 finale, won't air until...

October 08: Tofu Town Showdown (according to this)

Formatting guide

Just wondering. Seeing that the rest of season 2 is likely going to premiere by one segment at a time rather than an entire half-hour, wouldn't it make sense to change the box style to something similar to this?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Mighty_B!_episodes

Just a suggestion

Cartoon-Fan (talk) 15:53, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

Yeah but theirs are RYO tables for whatever reason they've got, we use {{Episode list}}. They're only planning to air them in 15-minute blocks for this week and should be reverting to half-hour blocks for the remainder of the season. treelo radda 16:22, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

Segments pairing?

Despite the order they were aired in, I think "Hands on a Big Mixer" is actually paired with "The Blast Raz", while "Spookiest House" is paired with "Poultry Geist".

For one thing "The Blast Raz" was released several weeks early on iTunes and it's paired with "Big Mixer" (which did air); which is reflected so in the voice credits at the end listing characters that appeared in both segments.

The credits for "Spookiest House" has voice listing for both that and "Poultry Geist".

My guess is CN aired those segments early because of Halloween. I'm betting that "Blast Raz" will air next week, when Halloween is over.

That'll probably be it, shouldn't really do a swticheroo like that, much less likely to have occurred if they weren't stretching out the airings in one new 15 minute episode per week but it is what it is. treelo radda 16:27, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Something wrong with the format?

Why is the "Reference" list above the season 3 episode list? I try to edit it, but it just keeps going back up.

Is there a coding error somewhere? Cartoon-Fan (talk) 04:19, 7 December 2009 (UTC)

There was, goofball who came through before you screwed up the layout by missing out a |} at the end of the table, all fixed now though. treelo radda 10:30, 7 December 2009 (UTC)

Recent episode not listed

An episode was just aired the 18th. The TV Guide listed the title as "Gazpacho!" The plot was about Gazpacho's mother going to the store while he was unaware of it so he thought she was kidnapped and searches all over town for her. a>C-Son-L_Sweaters.exe 16:18, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

List of Chowder Episodes Edit Request

{{editsemiprotected}} C.H Greenblatt commented on his blog that the final episode would be airing on April 5th (tonight) at 9:00 PM. (Aside from the finale episode, Chowder Grows Up.) I think you should add it to this article because for people to check this page often want to know when it's airing. "Kid Shnitzel" - Shnitzel tires of his adult responsibilities and decides to act like a child, much to Mung Daal's chagrin. Mung forces Shnitzel's responsibilities on Chowder, so Chowder then decides to act like a baby and Shnitzel follows suit, forcing Mung to send them to the baby pound.

30"The B.L.T.'s / The Trouble With Truffles"June 11, 2009 (2009-06-11)209
"The B.L.T.'s" - When Chowder must pass the upcoming "Basic Learning Test" (B.L.T.'s) or he cannot cook anymore, Mung Daal is forced to take matters into his own hands and attempt to stop the test.
"The Trouble with Truffles" - Truffles gets a new voice after Mung Daal tells her that her old one scares customers away. However, her new voice is so relaxed and non-threatening that Chowder, Mung Daal, and Shnitzel no longer take her seriously and become feral primitives, leaving Truffles to decide between her new voice and her old one.

I need you to change the top one into the bottom one.

Dates are all wrong

These dates are all wrong. The show did not premiere in 2005. Someone fix this!69.181.118.225 (talk) 01:29, 11 September 2010 (UTC)

Wrong air dates

I hate to disturb you all, but someone changed the dates for Seasons 1 and 3. Season 1's dates are changed furter up starting with 2008 but the show premiered in late 2007. Season 3 has air dates 1 year before Season 3's real air dates. Here is the link for the correct air dates for Season 3: Season 3 air dates on TV.com, and for Season 1: Season 1 air dates on TV.com. It's just like someone changed the air dates on Dexter's Lab nearly 2 years ago. Can someone do something to this? --Illinois1986 (talk) 23:34, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for fixing it. If there's something wrong, feel free to make a bold edit and fix it (worst that should happen is that it gets reverted and discussed). This article is a bit prone to getting vandalized by IP editors, and since there isn't a citation after each line (as there is in other articles), it's out of the way for many editors to fix it. However, now that I know the dates are correct, I'll revert any changes as vandalism. Ian.thomson (talk) 14:47, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
Thank you! It's also suspicious that there could be a sock abusing accounts to mess up this page. --Illinois1986 (talk) 21:55, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

Big Ball episode

Should we add in the fact that Big Ball is only the short and easy way of saying the full name and add in a note that it's official title is called "Field Tournament Style Up and Down on the Ground Manja Flanja Blanja Banja Ishka Bibble-Babble Flabble Doma Roma Floma Boma Jingle Jangle Every Angle Bricka Bracka Flacka Stacka Two Ton Re-Run Free For All Big Ball"? 81.154.86.125 (talk) 21:03, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

Source? Ian.thomson (talk) 00:03, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

Listen to this clip [5] . 109.158.175.119 (talk) 15:08, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but youtube fails our reliable sourcing guidelines (link here). Also, that only shows that the name of the game is "Field Tournament Style Up and Down on the Ground Manja Flanja Blanja Banja Ishka Bibble-Babble Flabble Doma Roma Floma Boma Jingle Jangle Every Angle Bricka Bracka Flacka Stacka Two Ton Re-Run Free For All Big Ball", not that its the name of the episode. Ian.thomson (talk) 15:13, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

Watch the episode then. Rodimus Rhyme (talk) 12:25, 11 May 2011 (UTC)

Episode airdates verified/corrected

Hi, in this edit I verified and corrected the airdates that did not match what was posted at Zap2It for season 1 and season 2. Zap2It, however, does not break the series into a 3rd season, so that's somewhat problematic. Additionally, it lists "The Firebird Sweet/The Bubble With Billy" as S2E27. This appears to be an episode from The Grim Adventures of Bill & Mandy. If we have a dispute about any of these airdates, let's please discuss them here first, to avoid mucking up the article any further. Finally, I don't know where the alleged "production code" numbers have come from, but I would consider them with the highest suspicion, and I think we might consider scrapping them entirely, as totally unverifiable. Recent edits from 118.92.41.133 and 118.92.45.210

In this edit IP reorders episodes and provides dates that don't match sourced information. Edit summary: "These are the original air dates. This is an archive from October 2010 that's why it looks a bit older." I reverted it for not matching sourced information. "Original airdates" according to whom? In this edit user resubmits the content with the cryptic explanation "All right then how about looking in the revision history of 2010 and earlier and you can clearly see those dates." Apparently the IP doesn't understand my reversion. I don't doubt that those dates were in whatever version of the article you are using, but I do doubt the veracity of those dates as none are sourced. Removing sourced content as well as the sources, is disruptive. For these reasons, I am reverting the article to the sourced state. If you want to provide more accurate, SOURCED information, feel free to do so, but be sure your sources aren't user-contributed sites like TV.com, IMDb, Wikia, and the like. See WP:RS for more information. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:54, 7 March 2014 (UTC)

This edit prompted me to revert on the grounds that they don't know what they're doing. I thought they were trying to add the references from that version of the article, but actually looking into it, it's clear they copied the text (not the code, but the finished text) from the current article's reference section and pasted it into the code (thereby actually removing the references). I cannot assume both competence and good faith from the edits at this point. Ian.thomson (talk) 19:00, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
Ian.thomson Thanks for that. IP 118.92.41.133 was behind some nonsense yesterday where they were trying to promote as factual, an unsourced claim that The Amazing Adventures of Gumball has a confirmed movie in the works. Their "reference" was an uncompelling (and misspelled) exclamation, "Ben Boquet confirmed it suckers!" The same IP also pulled the same "2010 archive" stuff at List of The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack episodes. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:11, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
Ok, it's getting to the point where I cannot assume either good faith or competence from the IP. Ian.thomson (talk) 19:13, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
Ian.thomson IP 118.92.45.210 posted on my talk page. They defend the edits they made at Flapjack, even though they came out of 118.92.41.133, the same IP behind the Gumball nonsense...which 118.92.45.210 denies being a part of. Yawn. I'm going to de-troll now. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:23, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
I've already treated their last revert as vandalism, and explained why on their talk page. Between the two of us, he'll easily hit 3rr if he tries to continue. That's if AIV doesn't take care of him after the final warning. Ian.thomson (talk) 19:25, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
