How is it a "07-08" season if the season itself ends in 2007?? are there still unlisted episodes? user:bassman600

Ref for production section of season finale episode page, please add when page is created edit

Scenes in the season finale were filmed on Pompano Beach on Friday, August 3. The filming included an explosion and simulated gunfire. Filming took place at the Merritt boatyard on Northeast 16th Street, 14th Street Causeway and Alsdorf Park on Northeast 14th Street.[1]

Hi all,

This article requires sourcing. For example, the Nielsen ratings are unsourced; the "production codes" are unsourced; and note #1 is unsourced. I considered removing the Nielsen ratings as I'm unable to verify them; perhaps somebody else can though. Matthew (talk) 14:46, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Matthew, I've restored the complete table. Although it does not provide titles, etc. it does have airdates, and production information. Titles are available every 10 days as casting calls go out, so the table will develop quickly. Please do not revert again. The information contained is unsourced. USA Network have not announced their complete schedule, and those production codes look dubious to me. As per WP:V, please provide an in-line source for the episode titles (before removing the citation requests). Elsewhere you claimed "leaving untitled episodes with airdates is commonly done", which I don't believe is true. In fact I've found the reverse to be true in my time at Wikipedia. That said an empty cell with unsourced information is rather useless in my opinion. It just seems like fluff... Matthew (talk) 16:29, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Copyright and Summaries edit

It's fine to remove summaries that are copyrighted, but to remove an entire table of titles, etc because there are titles you claim have a copyright and/or have not licensed seems a bit draconian or even to border on vandalism to me. I've restored the table with summaries removed. It would be well, I would think, to establish in what way you have the copyright/license.Drmargi (talk) 06:54, 21 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

There's nothing draconian about it at all: stealing is not acceptable. Those synopses were copied from my TV.com guide (Google's cache confirms their existence prior to a Wikipedia user stealing them). You've yet to provide a source for the episode titles (Will first brought it up first and so did I in my second reversion). I'll remove the episode titles until a source can be sourced. I'm not suggesting removing copyrighted material is draconian - please reread my first comments before referring me to basics of which I'm well aware. But you as editor at TV.com have a clear conflict of interest, and to remove an entire table rather than just the offending material, including titles already broadcast, is draconian, and I stand by that assertion. Moreover, to remove the table as unsourced when you clearly have a source demonstrates that conflict. I would suggest you either refrain from editing here, or use your source and restore the table. Hardly a conflict of interest -- unless I'm a member of Burn Notice's crew now. I did not remove the entire table (or aired episodes for that matter). I am not a reliable source -- and by result by TV.com guide is not a reliable source either -- thus I removed the unsourced episodes verbatim. Just to clear any ambiguity: I have no objection -- assuming you can provide a reliable source -- to the reinstatement of the episodes (just don't reintroduce non-GFDL content). Error? edit

The page states "Episode BN103 ("Fight or Flight") was originally intended for broadcast after episode BN102 ("Old Friends")" and also lists the dates in this order. Did it mean to say that BN103 was intended for broadcast BEFORE BN1002? As stated it notes as an oddity an intent that was actually carried out. I've restored the table for Season Two to the main article and removed the redirect. That can wait until the season ends. As it stands, the table in the main article did not reflect edits to the redirected table, and frankly, having to access it via the redirect is an unnecessary added step. Given it will be regularly updated for the next few weeks, it needs to remain where it is for the time being, and then can be moved at the end of the season. Seasons on this Page are Incorrect edit

Post Season 1, Winter seasons are referred to as 2.5 and 3.5 Both by the USA Network, the Main wiki Burn Notice Talk page and On external review sites. There are lots of easy to grab refrences for this. I can only find that the DVD release calling season 2 and 2.5 as just season 2.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this is a page about a TV show, and not a page about the DVD version of a TV show. If the Creator "USA Netowrk" refers to winter season as 2.5, the wiki should too.69.217.53.164 (talk) 18:41, 28 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

I might be presumptive in assuming this, but my understanding was always that ".5" was always just an easy way of referring to the season of a show that was continuing after returning from hiatus (a sadly common practice for USA). There would be no need for the ".5" if a season had concluded, as they would just be moving on to the next season, so the ".5" is thrown in to show continuity. If that is the case, the ".5" serves no real purpose on the Wiki page. KnownAlias contact 18:57, 28 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

You're right, KnownAlias. The use of "#.5" is short-hand for the back half of a split season, that's come from a combination of fan use on message boards, the production team (where I know I heard it first) and USA's internal jargon. It's not official: the production numbers (which are mislabeled as codes here, as well as sometimes being out of production order, but that's another argument) aren't 2.0.1 and 2.5.10. They're just 201 and 210, as in first episode and tenth episode of the second season. And those numbers come straight from USA. Drmargi (talk) 20:04, 28 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Jesse Garcia is in fact Jesse Porter, This was the name listed in the Season Premiere, I changed the source to a episode recap so that the Name change would be proved. Also, I know Wikipedia goes against original research but Jesse Porter is the name of the security Clearance given to Michael by the organization, So it is indeed Porter.
