tabilating more data edit

I am interested in tabulating some more data about each recipiant, if there are no commentaries, i will begin this. Absolt 16:10, 4 November 2007 (UTC) i think each receipient needs a brief explination on what they did —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.208.164.83 (talk) 13:56, 25 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Postnominals and honorifics edit

I'm not sure all of these are appropriate. For example, in 1961 Joan Sutherland was still not a dame, nor had she received her AC or OM. In 1965, Robert Helpmann was still Mr Helpmann, not Sir Robert. Etc, etc. I think it's better to include only those honorifics they held at the time they were named Australian of the Year. But before setting out on this task, I'll await comments. -- JackofOz (talk) 23:26, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

On reflection, it would be even better and simpler to have no postnominals at all, and only Sir/Dame if they had in fact received that honour prior to being named A of the Y. I'll make the change. -- JackofOz (talk) 07:58, 3 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

What a 'sorry' lot. B-list entertainers, pseudo-academics & leftist agitators. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.234.44.146 (talk) 08:00, 4 June 2016‎ (UTC)Reply

Semi-Protection edit

Given there seems to be a rather odd amount of vandalism would it be worth putting a 'Semi-Pretection' on this article. Nford24 (talk) 23:42, 14 March 2012 (AEST)

Have considered that but reckon its not quite bad enough yet. If it deteriorates any further please let me know. Moondyne (talk) 02:25, 15 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
done. Partial rationale also being that this type of content should have very minimal traffic. Moondyne (talk) 06:24, 20 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
