GA Review edit

This review is transcluded from Talk:Lisa's Substitute/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

Looks pretty good so far. I only have a few suggestions:

  • her most positive grown-up role model - "adult role model"?
  • the Mike Nichols directed film The Graduate - an awkward phrase, so how about "Mike Nichols' film The Graduate"?
  • Homer explains to Lisa how he can not really understand - "cannot"
  • I think that a picture of Mike Reiss would be much more illustrative than one of Dustin Hoffman, considering Bergstrom's appearance was modeled on Reiss
  • they got Hoffman to re-record them - "they had Hoffman re-record them"
  • 1952 book Charlotte's Web - "novel" would be better than "book"
  • feature in the episode without getting sued - "without being sued"
  • you can see a list of tenants - never use second-person in an encyclopedia article! Instead say "a list of tenants can be seen".
  • I'm not sure File:Deweytruman12.jpg comes under fair use as it's not essential to accompany the content of the article. Simply a link to Dewey Defeats Truman somewhere would do, and I'm sure there are other free images that could be used instead (not that another is even necessary!).
  • Colin Jacobson seems to be getting some undue weight over the other critics - see WP:MOSTV#Reception and trim his comments down to the length given to other reviewers
  • positive reviews from people that work on the show - "from cast and crew members"

Otherwise, everything looks fine and should be able to pass if these concerns are taken care of. You have seven days to make changes, so good luck. —97198 (talk) 08:41, 26 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ms. Hoover didn't actually have lyme disease edit

Hello! I made a couple of changs to reflect the fact that Lisa's teacher did in fact not contract lyme disease -- she merely imagined that she did. When she returns, she explains it away by calling it "psychosomatic", even though it was actually a case of hypochondria (and NOT a psychosomatic illness). Thanks for fixing it. CTJF83 GoUSA 20:10, 24 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

highest rated edit

the article states that this episode was Fox's third highest rated show of the week in it's opening paragraph and towards the end of the article says that it was Fox's highest rated show of the week — Preceding unsigned comment added by 27.32.135.162 (talk) 10:04, 19 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Nice catch. I checked the source and it was no. 1 for Fox that week (beating Married.. with Children), so the problem is now fixed. --Maitch (talk) 10:11, 19 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Singing out of tune edit

They re-recorded it, but it was still not in the same key as the guitar-playing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.77.60.53 (talk) 20:26, 6 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
