Thanks for creating this stub, whoever it was.

I belong to the New Foundation Fellowship, a group heavily influenced by the work and thought of Lewis Benson, many of us, having known Lewis, personally.

Kennard Wing

I have added the first part of a recent biography of Lewis Benson by Kennard Wing which was published in New Foundation Papers. I will add the rest once I tidied up the part I have added already

Please beware of copyright violation. If you are quoting large chunks of a published work, you must ensure that you have the necessary permission, otherwise the material will be deleted on sight. I oversimplified yesterday. Material on Wikipedia is automatically released under a "free" licence, meaning that it can be freely used by anybody, including for commercial purposes, provided that the original author is credited, and that a similar condition is imposed on subsequent users of the material. You must therefore provide a citation to your source. Not only should you do this, you also need to obtain permission in writing from the copyright holder, and record this permission formally - there is a system called OTRS for doing this. For more detailed info and the precise legal definitions, see WP:COPY.

Having said all this, I still think it is better to write the article in your own words, using multiple sources, of which Kennard would be one. Copy/pasting large chunks from elsewhere makes a very poor encyclopaedia article. Take a look at some of the articles in Category:FA-Class biography articles for examples of how to write a top-quality bio article (don't worry, no-one's expecting you to do this overnight!). I suggest you start by dividing it up into sections according to the Manual of style.

On whether this article is still a stub, yes it could be uprated to start-class, but only once the copyright issue is resolved, since as it stands most of the material could legitimately be removed as a WP:COPYVIO.
