Unreferenced medical claims edit

I have removed the following claims from the article because they are unreferenced (see WP:MEDRS). If anyone can find reliable sources to support these claims, they can be added back in. -- Ed (Edgar181) 00:14, 29 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

  • Respiratory tract infections caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae and group A β-hemolytic streptococci.
  • Otitis media due to S. pneumoniae, Hemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis, staphylococci, streptococci, and N. catarrhalis.
  • GU infections (including acute prostatitis) due to Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis or Klebsiella species.
  • Bone infections caused by P. mirabilis or staphylococci.
  • Skin and skin structure infections due to staphylococci and streptococci.

catalyst missing edit

The given synthesis shows a ring-opening of THF during addition to the carboxylic chloride. But THF don't react in this way by itself. You need a Lewis acid as catalyst. And just this catalyst is missing! I'd try zinc chloride. --FK1954 (talk) 16:58, 20 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
