Sounds like they were in his class in the 1960s edit

If he retired from teaching in 1970, there is no way they were in his class in the early 70s. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.179.96.38 (talk) 22:52, 20 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Simpsons named a character after him... edit

I'm sure that the principal from the simpsons being named after him and given a similar background history should be added.199.43.48.131 (talk) 13:18, 21 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

His name appears in "Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah!" edit

Is it known what his reaction was to the evidently coincidental appearance of his name ("You remember / Leonard Skinner? / He got ptomaine pois'ning last night after dinner!") in Allan Sherman's classic parody song? Dave Zobel (talk) 16:50, 16 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

The Lynyrd Skynyrd article's Early years section currently notes that the band's name "was in part a reference to a character named 'Leonard Skinner' in Allan Sherman's novelty song 'Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh' and in part a mocking tribute to P.E. teacher Leonard Skinner".
