Name change

Hi , I am Lena Kumar , actress in malayalam films. The Wikipedia page on ' Lena Abhilash' is on me. My official name is Lena Kumar and Lena is my screen name. I would like my name on wikipedia to be either of the above and not Lena Abhilash. I would also like all information regarding spouse and details connected to Abhilash Kumar to be taken off the page.

Hello! The article is now named Lena (with "actress" after, so we can tell it apart from articles on cities in Norway and whatnot), and this is because articles on Wikipedia should be titled after what the subject is generally called in WP:RELIABLE SOURCES, and "Lena" seems to be it. "Lena Abhilash" is also mentioned in sources, so that should probably be in the article as well. "Lena Kumar" do not seem to be widely used (based on my quick googling), can you help us with sources on that? Unfortunatly, your word on it is not enough. The spouse-info seems reasonable, relevant in context and uncontroversial, so I think it should remain at this point. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 11:12, 6 June 2013 (UTC)

As per the news paper reports of Malayala Manorama, her name changed to ' Lenaa' instead of 'Lena'. Her Official Instagram page tells the same.

Article content

This article seems a little light on details about the actor, and heavy on roles. I'm wondering if this doesn't grind against the What Wikipedia is not guidelines. Wikipedia is not, after all, IMDb, so maybe only notable roles should be listed? Not sure how we'd identify the notability of roles, though. I would imagine that any role without a name (Student) or cameos would likely not be considered notable. And unsourced movies listed as "filming" could possibly be removed per WP:CRYSTALBALL. Personal life

After some recent activity in the Personal life section, where users were adding/changing/removing information about the subject's marriage status, who she was married to, etc., I've decided to cut that entire aspect of her personal life, as we can't even agree about whether or not she was ever married. The tone of this section was becoming increasingly negative, with salacious statements like "She was in live-in relationship" (with all the negative implications this might have) and "Since she did not informed it publically some scandals and speculations spread out recently." Wikipedia is not in the business of gossip-mongering, and this is a biography of a living person, so on this basis, I have cut the content from the article. Age

It is a reliable source. I have received copies of PAN card and copy of the passport from the person herself, the person requested if the date of birth could be updated since I had updated her photograph on the wiki. • Comment: We normally don't rely only on sources that announce a name change as evidence of a change of WP:COMMONNAME. Are there any independent reliable sources that refer to her as "Lenaa" that don't also provide her previous name for explaining who they're referring to? The only source I see referenced in the article that uses "Lenaa" is a reference to her self-published announcement, and it primarily refers to her as "Lena" (including in the subheading). —⁠ ⁠BarrelProof (talk) 17:21, 29 March 2023 (UTC)

  You're correct. I did some more digging and found out that multiple sources still refer to her as Lena. I was confused because the name of the subject in the lead section of the article was changed. The article that was previously referenced during the change of the subject's name in the lead section directly proceeds to give out their source as a social media post made by the subject. That being said, the name Lena is still widely used in articles that are dated after the announcement of name change.
