Unfortunate Events canon and franchise edit

Three books at the end of the list were grouped under the heading "Extranoncanonical works" (old numbered Contents). They were also said in the preface to be "three additional works have been officially released in conjunction with his opus" (his magnum opus ASOUE, i suppose). At the same time, the first three "Other works" were said to be "released in conjunction with ASOUE"; "released as part of ASOUE"; and "a promotional pamphlet ... in promotion of The End" (ASOUE #13).

I have tried to re-organize effectively by grouping everything "in conjunction" as part of the Unfortunate Events franchise, immediately following the Series itself, and preceding Other works. (In terms of those old numbered Contents, move 3.1 to 3.3 up with 1.14 and 2.1; move 4.1 to 4.3 up to follow that group; that leaves 3.4 to 3.10 alone as "Other works".)

The distinction canonical:noncanonical does not make sense to me in this case but I have simply retained it, in effect, by using "Other Unfortunate Events canon" as the section heading for my new grouplet 3.

My substantial revision primarily concerns new section 3 (Unfortunate Events companion books; formerly 4.1 to 4.3). See the first of my two edits. My second edit is mainly the reorganization and the expansion/recovery of references. The reorganization alone is easy to undo by reference to the old Contents. --P64 (talk) 21:58, 16 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

All the Wrong Questions edit

Should the All the Wrong Questions series get its own heading between A Series of Unfortunate Events and Other Unfortunate Events Canon? It seems like it would make sense to give it more prominence than the other things listed in the Other Unfortunate Events Canon section. Alphius (talk) 04:28, 18 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
