Developer edit

It was developed by Leeds Studio (nowdays Rockstar Leeds, a support studio for other more revelant Rockstar studios, like North or San Diego): Programming, art, design and sound. Tarantula Studios tested the game. Take Two was just the owner of Leeds Studio and Pygnosis/others distributed the game. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.0.22.48 (talk) 12:52, 11 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

sentence confuses edit

In article revision as of May 11, 2006, the last sentence of the first paragraph of section "Gameplay" read:

"Thus, lemmings can no longer turn directly left or right, unless they have been killed by being knocked off the level."

Not having played the game, it makes no sense to me how killing a lemming can turn the lemming around. After all, once the lemming dies and is removed from the level, it ceases to exist, so "which way the lemming is facing" ceases to be even meaningful.

Basically, even if this sentence is indeed true, it needs some elaboration in order to make sense to someone like me who has yet to play the game or see it played. Therefore I will comment out the "unless..." part for now until someone comes up with a better way of phrasing what it is trying to say. 24.16.32.174 10:33, 23 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Good point. I think I may have written that sentence...while it's been a while since I've played it, what can happen is that the enemy Weasel characters come along and they simply whack lemmings off the level and one can see the lemming falling off sideways, plummeting to their doom. Traps in levels may do this too. Since indeed this effect is irrelevant to the actual gameplay (and more of an amusing visual effect), I think I will put the sentence somewhere else. Thanks for the perspective. --ADeveria 12:58, 23 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
