I've started expanding this stub to the format in Loughborough Endowed Schools.

The main building itself is quite impressive- I believe a converted warehouse/factory for hosiery

I think that when built, the St Nicholas building was a hospital, St Katherine's was a dye (or dying?) factory, and St Martin's a school. There is a book on the history of the school, I'll check at some point.

• To the extent of my knowledge (as a former pupil) St. Katherine's was an office building (I think). St. Nicholas' site was originally occupied by a hospital, it's true, and later it became part of Wyggeston Boys' Grammar School. The site is now used as a money-spinner for Leicester Cathedral. The only trace of the former hospital can be seen in the corner of car park / former playground, between St. Martin's West and Peacock Lane, where there is a patch of rough paving and on the outside wall, a plaque commemmorating the site of the hospital.DRAC250 (talk) 12:54, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
