Differences with General Ledger edit

Even if Ledger and General Ledger may be different concepts, the current contents of the Ledger entry seem to refer almost exclusively to General Ledgers (and in this sense, it may be redundant with General Ledger). Maybe some effort should go into explaining the differences (or if they are exactly the same, merging the entries). H (Uruguay) (talk) 15:11, 18 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Accounting talent required edit

The term general ledger plays a large part in double-entry accounting so we have not even begun to touch on the main use of this term. General ledger systems are a big product in computerized accounting. These are its modern uses, but the word also has a colorful past. However, only those who have had some accounting are going to understand this term. No disrespect to you others, but we need some such person with an interest in history on this one.Dave (talk) 10:17, 23 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Citations edit

There is a need for more citations, many of the terms are not cited. In addition, one of the citations no longer works. Ravishingrichrude (talk) 20:58, 18 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
