John Duncan Forsyth vs. George Forsyth

The lede of this article previously stated that John Duncan Forsyth, who was a prominent Tulsa architect, was a partner in Layton & Forsyth. None of the sources I've seen for John Duncan Forsyth mention a partnership with Solomon Layton, which seemingly would have been a notable alliance given the prominence of these two architects in their respective cities. I have gone through the sources cited for this article and none of them seem to mention John Duncan Forsyth either. It appears to me that the Forsyth in this firm was actually George Forsyth, based on the Solomon Layton biography at the Oklahoma Encyclopedia[2], as well as the 1945 Oklahoma Supreme Court decision in Layton v. Smith[3], which states, " Layton & Forsyth was a partnership consisting of S. A. Layton and George Forsyth. That said S. A. Layton died on February 6, 1943, and George Forsyth became the liquidating trustee of the partnership." Google turns up a number of other references to George Forsyth as Layton's colleague.

However, the Oklahoma Encyclopedia article on Oklahoma County does state that "Solomon A. Layton and John Forsyth designed the second courthouse (NR 92000126) situated at 321 Park Avenue."[4] Given the above references to George, and since none of the independent sources on John Duncan Forsyth list this building, I currently suspect the reference to John here was an error. I am looking for something more definitive about this. In the meantime I am deleting the references to John Duncan Forsyth as a member of the Layton & Forsyth firm.--Arxiloxos (talk) 15:40, 16 March 2010 (UTC)

Further regarding the Oklahoma County Courthouse, the book American Art Deco by Carla Breeze [5] credits the building to Solomon Layton, George Forsyth, and Jewel Hicks. -Arxiloxos (talk) 16:15, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
