Untitled edit

The contents of this article are mainly copied from Pope's own facebook page, which I presume, means there is a copyright issue. Also, it reads like an advertisement.1812ahill (talk) 03:37, 13 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I believe Lauren was in the film Rise of the Footsoldier as an extra in a nightclub. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2201060/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.64.29.177 (talk) 21:09, 27 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Pornography portal links edit

The second paragraph of the article on Page 3 clearly states that there is a dispute about whether Page 3 girls are softcore pornography.

The link to the pornography portal is not an attempt to resolve this dispute, but merely a reflection that the dispute exists and therefore Page 3 girls are a topic of interest to the pornography project. --The Vintage Feminist (talk) 14:57, 26 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Birthday edit

Even the IMDb says her birthday is 29 September.[1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Unreal7 (talkcontribs)

The reason I asked you to post potential sources on this talk page was to ensure they meet reliable sourcing criteria before adding them to the article. Please read WP:RS; it specifically notes the unacceptable nature of IMDB as a source. This has been discussed extensively and consensus remains that IMDB is not a reliable source for personal information in biography articles. You can read more on this here, here, and here. As you have had difficulty identifying which sources meet WP:RS, please post any potential sources here prior to adding them to the article so that they can be vetted. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 18:47, 26 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

The first link is to an image of her as a pin-up girl, the second and fourth links are third party sources with even less credibility than IMDB, the third is a wiki, and the last one is a forum post. Have you read WP:RS yet? Please stop throwing every crap website you come across at the wall to see if one will stick. As I already noted on your talk page "Per WP:DOB "Wikipedia includes full names and dates of birth that have been widely published by reliable sources, or by sources linked to the subject such that it may reasonably be inferred that the subject does not object", and from the lead of WP:BLP: "We must get the article right. Be very firm about the use of high-quality sources" (original emphasis). And you also restored the unverified Facebook and Twitter links despite them falling under #10 of WP:ELNO. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 20:47, 26 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Unreal7, you have now changed the sourced date that was agreed upon by anemoneprojectors on your talk page. The template reflected what the source says, which is that as of September 29, 2012, Lauren Pope was 30 years old. You have changed the template to say that she was 29 as of September 29, 2012 which contradicts the source. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 21:16, 26 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

OK fine, call them "any old crap" if you want, but I genuinely just don't understand the need for birthday sources. Unreal7 (talk) 22:52, 26 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
I just noticed that the OK! Magazine source says "who's birthday is today", and the article is dated 29 September 2012, making her birth date 29 September 1982. I hadn't spotted that line before. Surely that works, right? –anemoneprojectors– 23:17, 27 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
Great catch! --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 16:20, 30 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
I can't believe we both missed it! –anemoneprojectors– 16:33, 30 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
So are we agreed that that's her birthday then? Unreal7 (talk) 22:12, 11 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
