Apparently he owned the rights to images of them. I suggest somebody do some research into this. As I'm currently in work, I can't really do it. BigbluePD (talk) 10:05, 4 July 2008 (UTC) Shucks. U.S. Presidential bid

He got some press in 1984 with the slogan “Put a real Bozo in the White House.” Is that worthy of mention in the article? When I heard about it at the time, I recalled Bush 41 and Dukakis recently having called each other’s people “bozo” on the campaign trail. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mark R Johnson (talk • contribs) 16:52, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

  I was running an election precinct that election.  There was an official list of qualified write-in candidates, and what variations on their name could be written in to cast a valid vote for them.  Mr. Harmon was on that list, along with various forms which one could write in to vote for him.  If, during that election, one were to write in “Bozo” or “Bozo the Clown” for President, one would have been casting a valid vote for Mr. Harmon.  Of course, one could have voted for him by writing in “Larry Harmon” or “Lawrence Weiss” or any of several different variations on these names.

  In any event, it does seem to me that his Presidential campaign ought to be mentioned in the article.—Bob Blaylock (talk) 04:43, 20 September 2015 (UTC)

Stuff undercovered

I don't have time to deal with it at the moment, but it looks like there are substantial omissions - such as not mentioning that Harmon had been a Bozo performer prior to buying the rights - that should probably be imported from the Bozo article. --Nat Gertler (talk) 15:50, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
