Can we remove the suggested movelist, or at least change it? That isn't a very good movelist at all. Horn Drill is an awful attack.

I tihnk we should also include that it is Lorelei's ( of the elite 4)signature and strongest Pokemon.

Moves that only hit 30 percent of the time are very bad. Even if they are a one hit kill, just by using a type-matched move you can kill almost anything in 1 or 2 hits anyway. BTNH 01:05, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

Evolutions

Where does this information about "Lapraby" or "Lapentosh" come from? Its fanon at best, vandalizm at worst (which I doubt, probably just an uppity pokemon fan) whatever it is, its gone now, so..... yeah. YnoBluepages? 03:37, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Notability

I do not think that my feelings are policy, I am exclaiming that only one thing in the article really shows notability, while the rest of the content fails to provide significant coverage as far as WP:GNG goes. Most of the reception can be described as "X has compared Lapras to Y", "Lapras ranked X high on this list", promotional material/official promotions between Nintendo and prefectures, and accidents that only incidentally related to Lapras. There is no person who is discussing whether a subject passes WP:GNG without expressing their opinion or feelings on the matter, so i have no idea why you seemed to only fixate on wording.

And, frankly, posting a link to the AfD and telling me to refer to it is incredibly strange, if only because you clearly only referred to the banner and result listed. The AfD was improperly closed, due to the fact that half the editors still felt it should be redirected. The nominator, at best, should have been closed as withdrawn at best, or not closed at all. Claiming that a consensus was reached would be claiming that a single, regular user has the authority to rule on a split consensus one way or the other. - Cukie Gherkin (talk) 04:27, 18 March 2024 (UTC)

I agree with Cukie's assertion: notability standards have improved since that AfD, and on its own its role as a promotional mascot does not guarantee notability on its own: we need to account for its presence as a fictional character whether it be reception for its design or its role in media. Same here, I agree with the assertion made by Cukie. There's not much commentary on the Pokemon itself and more about incidents and marketing involving the character. CaptainGalaxy 12:23, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
