The second paragraph of this article is mostly advertising-like. The information can be found on the company's website, to which there is a link in the article.

Does anyone have any other information on Land America, like the names of its subsidiaries, its financial performance over the years, it's comparison with the rest of the title insurance industry, etc. that would more properly fit in an encyclopedia?

Corporate History

I added the names of the subsidiaries and the history of the name LandAmerica, which is probably more interest to the average reader than the factoid of the corporation now bearing that name having been incorporated in 1991, when Commonwealth, Transnation and Lawyers Title were three separate operations. I'm reluctant to add much more at this stage, as there may not be much left to say about LandAmerica once Fidelity National finishes gobbling them up. [I'm assuming that given LandAmerica's abysmal figures from recent quarters, regulators will indeed approve the acquisition, notwithstanding its significant impact on market share.] Xrlq (talk) 16:55, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
