Merges edit

This page is currently a redirect to lamellae, which has links to "lamellae [various]", which are generally short articles, the distinction of each of which is disputable. Firstly, all these articles should all be at the singular "lamella", which I intend to fix. Secondly, the structural concept of lamellae might as well be collected in one article at lamella. Oppose: Distinction between each disputable???? Are you crazy! A mushroom lamella, a lamella in a fish gill, a graphite lamella, and a lamella in a chloroplast all refer to hugely different structures that happen to share the same name. Furthermore, some of these articles have room for expansion – lamella (mycology), for example, needs to be expanded into a much larger article, as the pattern of attachment of lamellae to the stipe is extremely important in identifying agarics. History of "Lamella" edit

The 'merge craziness' versus a more proper balance betweeen: Integration versus Differentiation,....was out and about when I found the merge tags on the (at that time) four main "Lamella" articles. And I immediately removed the merge tags after reading the above two comments of 6 January 2007 and 14 October 2006. There are now up to six (6) articles on the Lamella disambiguation page. --....A SonoranDesert fellow--Mmcannis (talk) 17:02, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
