Wikiproject Prisons edit

If anyone's interested, I've proposed a new wiki project for the creation and improvement of articles regarding specific prisons, internment camps, and detention centers here. --Cdogsimmons (talk) 02:44, 23 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

First and foremost Lakeview is a medium security prison, as it has a 20ft fence around it's perimeter and that is what determines a medium from minimum in New York State. I would also like to add that this particular facility is the reception facility for SHOCK Incarceration for the state. Shock is for first time felony offenders NOT youthfull offenders. The nature of the crime can not be violent so you will mostly find drug offenders, some thieves and the occasional car jacker or DWI (multiple DWI's that is) offenders. The program is a boot camp style regimen and last for 6 months. The basis is to rehabilitate someone who just may have gone off the beaten path....kind of like giving someone the benefit of the doubt. In my case I learned from it and never ran into the law again.... doesn't mean I can find a job that will accept the felony on my record from 9 years ago though.

Respectfully,
