Stub to Start edit

I have no idea what kind of stub category to place this under, so I'll leave it a plain stub until either 1- I find a category that fits, or 2- someone else does :o)

Numbers in the text of a quote edit

For guidelines on numbers in the text of a quote see the explanation in Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(dates_and_numbers)#Units_of_measurement. Text changed accordingly. Williamborg (Bill) 15:44, 19 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

The Office edit

Is it worth mentioning that the booze cruise on The Office show was at this lake? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.120.184.122 (talk) 20:37, 1 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

It's in, with the explanation that the episode was not actually filmed at LW. Principal filming took place in Long Beach Harbor, California. David notMD (talk) 11:38, 25 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Talen edit

I added information on the proposed Talen spinoff. As the situation is liquid, help will be needed to keep up with it. Cheers.Grahamboat (talk) 23:02, 18 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Talen sold LW to Brookfield Renewable in 2016. David notMD (talk) 11:30, 25 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Drinking water reservoir? edit

User:98.114.33.236 added a non-sourced comment about the lake being planned as a drinking water reservoir. I tagged this with a citation needed and I will delete if no one can find a ref. Cheers.Grahamboat (talk) 23:53, 18 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Summered on LW 1961-2011 and never heard that it was under consideration as a drinking water reservoir. Guessing that the decades of motor boat use precludes this. David notMD (talk) 11:32, 25 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Dead links edit

Ref #1 needs to be replaced, as it is a dead link (from PPL days) to details about the lake's size, etc. There is a less important dead link in Ecology.David notMD (talk) 11:18, 26 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

More detail on Recreation edit

It states that Lake Wallenpaupack is one of the largest lakes in Pennsylvania. Being that it is one of the largest lake with a lot of tourism it should have evidence to support that there is a high tourism rate. There's many activities on the lake but doesn't give a lot of detail on where and how you can find them, so maybe upload pictures of the events going on or even a picture of the brochures they provide for these events. A lot of lakes have restrictions on their boating rules and regulations. Maybe add more about how you can get your boat into the lake? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Panajungla21 (talkcontribs) 19:12, 21 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
