Title edit
"Lake İznik" is the modern name of this lake. Check out the Britannica article on Iznik, for example ("It lies on the eastern shore of Lake Iznik"). Why should we use the ancient name? —Khoikhoi 18:43, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Turkish names? edit

- The article title was arbitrarily moved to Lake İznik. Given that this was a controversial change (there are two posts on the talk page related to the title) and that the Lake Iznik title is long established (has been there since 2012 [1]), it should have been done by a formal proposal and discussion. For that reason I have reversed the move to Lake İznik, and I invite a formal proposal from those wanting that change. Tiptoethrutheminefield (talk) 15:08, 27 March 2017 (UTC)
