Beliefs of the Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement

Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement uses a different interpretation of prophethood as compared to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Comunity. The Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement believe Prophet Muhammad to be the last prophet. The Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement also does not declare other muslims to be "kafirs". "Mirza Qadiani" did not declare other muslims to be kafirs, it was his son who did so after his death. The majority of Muslims consider Ahmedi Muslims to be outside the fold of Islam. However not all Muslims do so. Also both Ahmedi movements reffer to themselves officaill as "Muslims" and "Ahmedis". They hence need to be reffered to using these terms in wikipeida. The Qadiani is a colloquial term that has come into use and has derogatory connotations . The usage of this term is adequately mentioned and explained in the "Ahmedi" article.Nazli 07:03, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

Qadianism

Anybody that gives any honorable status to Mirza Qadiani whether as prophet, nabi, or mujadid, messiah, mahdi, etc, is follower of Qadianism. You cannot believe in Mirza Qadiani in any shape or form and be a Muslim. The Lahoris are also followers of Qadianism.

That may or may not be the case. From a Wikipedia standpoint it is immaterial - Its one point of view. You are free to perpetuate it, however not at the expense of opposing povs. Your point of view receives full attention and time in all articles related to Ahmedism/Qadianism. Ahmadi muslim movement in Islam should not be called quadiani

This is because it is not fair to call the other sect of ahmadi's quadiani. Pro and Anti Ahmadiyya references are not NPOV nor are they entirely relevant.

This article seems to be about the Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement. However, most of the anti-ahmadiyya links are general to the Ahmadiyya movement as a whole, and there are a whole bunch of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community related links here, adn it seems very awkward.

I propose removing any links from the reference sections that are not specifically related to the Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement, and moving them to either the main Ahmadiyya page, or the AMC page, as appropriate. The references that stay should either be LAM sources, or AMC and other Muslim sources that specifically deal with LAM. Otherwise, this page is overwhelmed by a confusing mass of references that don't really relate.

This page should certainly not be a place to hash out the validity of the Ahmadiyya groups vis-a-vis the majority of Muslims. That can certainly be addressed on the Ahmadiyya page. --Christian Edward Gruber 21:06, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

The German translation of the Quran

Dear fellow editors, I recently added some information on the translating process of the German version of the Quran, which were deleted again (see article history). The article so far states that the text was translated into German by Sadr-ud-Din himself. A recent online-journal article states that he only translated it to English and a German convert actually translated it from English to German. The research for this article was done in the archives of the Berlin mosque itself. Should this be included or was it rightfully deleted?
