Lagrangian into a DAB page, separate article for Lagrangian field theory

The scope of this article is too big by including Lagrangian mechanics and Lagrangian field theory, and even seems redundant.

All the Lagrangian mechanics content (formalism, equations, examples, history, etc.) could be split off to Lagrangian mechanics, and all the field theory content (formalism, equations, examples, history, etc.) split off to another article Lagrangian field theory (which currently redirects to this page Lagrangian).

Then "Lagrangian" could be redirected to the Lagrangian (disambiguation) page with the latter including links to the new Lagrangian mechanics and Lagrangian field theory articles (which makes sense, since in the literature "Lagrangian density" is usually referred to as a "Lagrangian" anyway). Obviously, the relation between the two can be mentioned and both articles can link to each other.

By contrast, this is already the case for Hamiltonian mechanics, Hamiltonian field theory, and "Hamiltonian" is correctly a disambiguation page. Thoughts? M∧Ŝc²ħεИ_τlk 21:33, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

Given the lack of input I'll go ahead and begin splitting off the field theory content to Lagrangian field theory, and the mechanical examples to Lagrangian mechanics. Contested deletion 1

This page should not be speedily deleted because... the term is not ambiguous. All of these subjects stem from the studies fo the same individual.
