Refs and info needed

1. Most of the article has no supporting sources. 2. In the second decade of the 21st century, ads seeking female travel companions can be found on the Internet. Is it correct to consider these as including lady's companions? If not, is there any information on "the last lady's companion of Britain"?Kdammers (talk) 09:48, 25 October 2020 (UTC)

1. Yes, you can ad some after Googling for referenced scholarly sources on the internet. 2. The term is now archaic and modern equivalents can either have their own article or be given a short summarized section her to say they are modern equivalents. It would be next to impossible to know who was the last in such a common profession and require a lot of original research, and 3. The profession was not unique for Britain but existed in all Western countries (with a title in their own anguage of course), so the article should clerify that, otherwise it will not fullfill the guidelines of global point of veiw. --Aciram (talk) 13:49, 25 October 2020 (UTC)

Anglo-centric

The article lacks a global perspective. The profession of Lady's companion existed in more places than Britain - it is known at least in The Netherlands, France and Sweden, and as far as I understand, in the entire Western World or at least in Western Europe.
