Text taken from Racing Club de Montevideo article edit

Mazurkiewicz, also known as Mazurka started played as a defender for Racing, in his early years, then he would become the world's best goalkeeper. On a match that were playing Peñarol vs. Racing at the Centenario Stadium, Racing's goalkeeper was expulsed and they didn't have any more variants, so Ladislao entered as a goalkeeper, he didn't even imagined how his life would change, his magnificient goalkeeping abilities attached him to the goal forever. He retired as a hero form Peñarol and Uruguay's National team. He is now Peñarol's goalkeeper trainer. He was also elected as the best goalkeeper of the World Cup of México 1970.
