The result of the move request was: moved to original title of "Ladies and Gentleman", which still redirected here. The only source uses the word "and" rather than an ampersand, and this is the only film of this name (for which we have an article). DrKiernan (talk) 16:45, 6 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Ladies & Gentleman (2013 Malayalam film)Ladies & Gentleman – The movie has a unique title – Ladies & Gentleman and no disambiguation is required. If at all one is needed, it should be just "Ladies & Gentleman (film)". Ladies and Gentlemen (2013 Hindi film) should also be thus moved to Ladies and Gentlemen (2013 film). • Oppose I think it's more useful as a mispelling redirect to the disambiguation page. This film already appears on the disambiguation page. -- 65.92.180.137 (talk) 05:08, 28 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Support: As per Wiki guideline. Anyway, Gentlemen in the title is incorrect, since the film title and the film is about a gentleman and 4 ladies.

  • Oppose: Ladies & Gentlemen does and should redirect to the dozen items on Ladies and Gentlemen. In ictu oculi (talk) 07:05, 28 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
Ladies & Gentlemen should redirect to Ladies and Gentlemen, but the requested move was for Ladies & Gentleman which is a unique title. --Jairodz (talk) 07:25, 4 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. There is no need for the disambiguation. However, if it is kept as a misspelling redirect, then the article should still be moved to "Ladies and Gentleman (film)". The least restrictive disambiguation parenthetical should be used per Wikipedia convention. Rreagan007 (talk) 06:11, 5 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Support both, but I'm afraid I think that a separate move request should be raised for Ladies and Gentlemen (2013 Hindi film), on its talk page. The current disambiguations are both overly precise, and this one is unnecessary. Andrewa (talk) 12:33, 5 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose - There is another hindi movie with the same title. So, in my opinion it's better as it is now. Ladies & Gentleman should be dab since there are albums and films with the same title. Torreslfchero (talk) 13:09, 5 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
    • Comment: No, as discussed above, Ladies and Gentleman and Ladies and Gentlemen are not the same title. No change of vote. Andrewa (talk) 14:43, 5 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Discussion edit

Two of the oppose votes above seem to be based on a misreading of the move request. The question is not whether and as opposed to & is sufficient disambiguation, it is assumed in several places above that it is not, and there seems to be consensus on this although the question has not been asked explicitly. The question is whether a as opposed to e in Gentleman as opposed to Gentlemen is sufficient disambiguation. There could even be said to be rough consensus on this too, that it is sufficient disambiguation, as only the first of the three oppose votes so far even addresses this question.
