Hello guys! I went ahead and further modified the sentence without consulting here. I think the fact that it links to Nuyorican is more than sufficient for WP standards. Please add an additional line (in the "Career" section, I guess?) to note that LaLa Anthony has established a cosmetics line called "Motives for LaLa" in January 2012. • I oppose the renaming in the basis that "La La" Vazquez became a notable celebrity on her own right as a host of "MTV", well before she met and married Carmelo Anthony. Her marriage surname, "Anthony" will only remain so only as long as she is married. Have we ever known Marilyn Monroe as Marilyn DiMaggio? or Elizabeth Taylor as Elizabeth Burton? of course not. Policy tells us to use the name in an article by which the person is best known as and as stated before, she became known and gained fame as "La La" and not as Mrs. "La La Anthony". Hello I am La La Anthony..DATE OF BIRTH IS COMPLETELY WRONG

Hello everyone! Hope all is well. This is actually La La Anthony. Im writing the forum because my birthdate on wikapedia is COMPLETELY WRONG. I would like this changed immediately. I can provide OFFICIAL DOCUMENTATION including my birth certificate and passport to show my actual birthdate is JUNE 25, 1983. The one reference that was cited on my page as the reference for my date of birth was even unclear as it stated sometimes my birthdate was listed as 1980. That reference even spelled my last name wrong as VASQUEZ. It is not credible. They are wrong. I'm an actress and WIKAPEDIA is the source of many people when researching me for films, tv shows, etc. I would appreciate if the info on here is correct. i have absolutely no issues with providing these official documents. if you search the web my birthdate is listed as June 25, 1979 because most places are using Wikapedia as their source. Pls help me with this. I can provide any information necessary. Thanks so much for your immediate attention to this matter. March 30, 2016 edit

I'm not really a fan of Ms Anthony so I didn't add anything new. I just went through the article and added links to the Wiki articles a bunch of the stuff mentioned and also also cleaned up some minor punctuation and style issues. What I didn't do is address the lack of cites in the Career section. I'm sure the info is accurate but if someone who knows Ms Anthony and her work better could provide some cites the article would look pretty good. --MeDrewNotYou (talk) 15:34, 30 March 2016 (UTC)

We have an anon (and some accounts) trying to change the DOB of the subject (see also posts at the Help Desk). These are claiming to be the subject (or representatives thereof) but we have no proof of that - they have been directed to OTRS. The odd thing is;

• The previous set of accounts claiming to be the subject tried to change the DOB to 1983 (see above on this page)
• This set of accounts are trying to change it to 1982
• We have some RS for 1979 - not only the one in the article, but contemporary reports giving her age at the time which would fit 1979 (i.e. [1] [2]).
• The article was created in 2005 with the 1979 date, so all of those reports could have used that Wikipedia date. It's possible, if unlikely.

It would be really useful if someone could unearth an RS from before 2005, which would negate that last point. Thoughts? Black Kite (talk) 00:21, 2 May 2019 (UTC)

Dbfirs, the above URL also states that on April 10, 2019, the actress was of 36. And both of the reference sources not saying exactly about the real birthday you are arguing about. None of the sources says the exact date you are saying that June 25, 1979. So, I think both of your references needed to be removed and update the things as they actually are.Chahardharma (talk) 04:00, 2 June 2019 (UTC)

Other references state that she is 39 years old. Her publicity machine is busy pushing the 36 age. I'd be happy to compromise on removing the year of birth since it seems to be disputed. I've never seen the lady, not even on TV, so I've no idea whether she is approaching her 40th birthday or not, but I think it unlikely that the New York Times would get it wrong. References

Most earlier reliable sources say 1979, including the New York Times which is unlikely to have copied from Wikipedia. I think we should retain the earlier year of birth and reject attempts to prevent a 40th birthday. Dbfirs 19:58, 6 May 2019 (UTC)

Earlier articles from reliable sources such as People Magazine state she was 27 in December 2006 & March 2007, 28 in February 2008, 30 in February 2010 & 37 in May 2017, meaning she was born in 1979.
