Album covers in gallery

Album covers are non-free content and are limited in how they can be used on Wikipedia articles. Album covers used in a gallery as they are used on this page are forbidden. The rules for non-free content are listed at Wikipedia: Non-free content.

Specifically in the acceptable use section Wikipedia:Non-free content#Images: "Some copyrighted images may be used on Wikipedia, providing they meet both the legal criteria for fair use, and Wikipedia's own guidelines for non-free content. Copyrighted images that reasonably can be replaced by free/libre images are not suitable for Wikipedia. 1. Cover art: Cover art from various items, for identification only in the context of critical commentary of that item (not for identification without critical commentary)."

Also on the same page but in the unacceptable use section Wikipedia:Non-free content#Images 2: "The use of non-free media in galleries, discographies, and navigational and user-interface elements generally fails the test for significance (criterion #8).
