Age? edit

Who has a Wikipedia article with no date of birth? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:644:8403:1CC0:2D78:D404:BA51:F694 (talk) 14:52, 8 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

This entire page looks like it was recently posted in promotional support of Ms. Iversen's new book. The entire copy (text) comes directly and nearly word for word from press releases and the blurb's on the book's dust jacket. Although I don't see anything false, the source leaves me wondering about how balanced and appropriate this is for Wikipedia. 216.243.176.75 (talk) 00:55, 31 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Although it may be pretty much a copy/paste from press releases, I guess it's better than nothing. She's a newer author, so there's not bound to be too much info on her. However, if someone wants to rephrase the article, I encourage him/her. 208.22.79.249 (talk) 15:09, 22 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

No, it's not better than nothing. Allowing people to use Wikipedia for promotional purposes is an embarrassment to what Wikipedia is supposed to be about. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.130.43.201 (talk) 06:34, 6 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

As the creator of this article, I can assure you I have no connection with the subject. I don't know her and I haven't even read any of her books. But she is an award winning author and more than satisfies the general notability guidelines. There are now plenty of independent sources for the article, including the NY Times, NPR and the Guardian. Harry the Dog WOOF 10:43, 6 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Dr. Iversen's name is misspelled in the title. It is Kristen, not Kirsten. Kalkiwendy (talk) 05:05, 19 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
