WikiProject Ballet To-do list:

Here are some tasks awaiting attention:

This article is primarily about a musical composition. edit

As the article states, the [original] ballet—i.e. the choreography—was pretty much a critical failure; furthermore, there has been an entirely different ballet choreographed to the same music, which is also mentioned in the article. Moreover, while this article is the logical place for information about these two ballets, it is also the logical place for information about the musical composition considered by itself (which it usually is). This, together with the fact that there are no other ballets by Xenakis, is the reason why I reverted the replacement of [[Category:Compositions by Iannis Xenakis]] by [[Category:Ballets by Iannis Xenakis]]. It's possible that the latter category should be re-added in addition to the former one, even so; it seemed silly to me, but I'm not sure I completely understand how the category system is used, so maybe I'm wrong. But the former category has got to stay. Also, I removed the {{ballet}} template; my intuition is that it might be re-added if a lot of information about either or both of the ballets is added to the article, but otherwise it seems inappropriate. And I put back the {{music-stub}} tag, since there's a lot more information I'd like to see added to the article. False vacuum (talk) 22:40, 28 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
