Talk:Knowing Bros

Contrary to what was mentioned in another talk topic, the fact that the URL for the show's Korean page contains "bros" is irrelevant to the title of this article. Why is this article based on a literal translation of the Korean title instead of the official title used by JTBC on their own website? "Knowing Bros" is the equivalent of having the South Korea and Japan articles as "Big Korean Republic" and "Sun Source". There are no other names for this show except what JTBC chooses for the English title.

The show is called "Men on a Mission". All other "titles" are unofficial, and frankly stupid.

This is article is a great example of poorly written English articles regarding a Korea-related topic by ESL writers who have no business writing/editing English articles. While this may sound harsh/discriminatory, it is a brutally honest assessment of the writing. What would be the point of having an English page of a topic if it's horribly incoherent? Do Korea-related articles exist to please the ego of Korean speakers to practice their English writing ability?

Moving page

I'm going to move this page, and I wanted to give my reasoning. 'Ask Us Anything' was the original English title of the show used by vlive when it aired the first episode. The original format of the show was about answering fan questions, and testing their theories on different matters. Since then the show has been through more than one format change. The current school format of the show started with episode 17.

The korean name of the show is 아는 형님. 아는 means to know, or knowing something, whilst 형님 is what an elder brother of a male.

The show is most often translated as 'Knowing Bros'. Second most as 'Knowing Brother' or similar. I've also seen 'Brothers School'. I've opted to move the page to 'Knowing Bros', since it seems to be the most often used translation of the name. Number of decimals on TV Ratings

Undid a revision that rounded off ratings to one decimal. I wanted to explain it here. With a one-digit decimal, Episodes 15 (1.477%) & 16 (1.542%) would have the same rating although there is a difference between the numbers. One-decimal percentages would also put both E02 (1.140%) and E06 (1.149%) as the lowest rated episode, and would have E06 (1.149%) and E20 (1.155%) at 1.1% and 1.2%, which will make the difference seems bigger. Given how close the percentages are, I feel that the current three-decimal listings are justified, and gives a more accurate record of the ratings. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Autokiij (talk • contribs) 16:19, 9 August 2016 (UTC)

Adding Relationship Info

It just occurred to me and how about making another set of the cast's table for their relationships. I think the show is long enough to name their relationships.

Information regarding the cast

Several information regarding the cast members of Knowing Bros were made similarly with the information sections on other Korean variety shows, such as Infinite Challenge, 2 Days & 1 Night, and Running Man. Thus, there is an unwritten convention between the Korean variety show fans whose making contribution in Wikipedia to add the so-called "nicknames" freely according to what had said by the cast members to each other in actual airing of the shows.

Nevertheless, the information regarding the characters, nicknames and relationships between each member of a variety show should be not written subjectively or only based on personal knowledge. Instead, any citation is needed before such information. Such citation can be found in any online article in the internationally- or South Korea-based media that providing entertainment news.

I deleted several subjective information that were made without any supporting citation in accordance with Wikipedia's policy of citation. I felt that the previous edits that deleted the information altogether are unnecessary. Instead, everyone may feel free to add the information as long as it having a supporting citation so we can traces the information back to the original sources. If there is any information is added without any citation on it, I may delete it so this page will not be overflowed by a large amount of unimportant information.
