It's like a mini garbage can on the counter. The rod in the middle is so you don't have to bang it on the side and make a mess. It also takes a fair amount of force to knock the grinds out so you want a hard and stable surface to bang it against. 99.184.72.154 (talk) 03:23, 1 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
