Last Contested. edit

The last contested date seems to be some sort of template that attaches to the last provincial election in that year. The code specifically mentions provincial election. This riding was contested in a by election earlier this month... Should the last contested date read 2019 or 2022? Jethro 82 (talk) 14:35, 15 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Declined ballots edit

I'm not sure if this has been talked about before elsewhere, but is there any reason we exclude declined ballots from turnout? Elections Manitoba seems to exclude both declined ballots and rejected ballots from turnout, giving the 36.25% figure only including valid votes. My question here is do we include both rejected or declined (as we do with Ontario provincially) OR do we only include rejected (because the template doesn't account for declined) OR do we include neither and follow Election Manitoba's valid vote figure? --PoliceClarity (talk) 15:39, 21 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

I usually lump declined with rejected when I put together an election table, and add that to the valid votes to calculate the turnout. -- Earl Andrew - talk 18:58, 21 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
I would agree with this way of doing things, it seems like the way that allows for the most consistency across the CANelect templates. In this case I'll change "rejected" from 9 to 11. PoliceClarity (talk) 14:52, 22 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
