COI notice edit

I'm not sure where this came from, and it is not supported in this talk page... But I do not have any sort of connection to the subject whatsoever, beyond writing this article from the sources cited. Since the bot added the deletion template based on the mistaken COI template, I have removed both. TMagen (talk) 11:15, 17 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi! I believe the user accused of being Richardson was "JER Mitchell", not you. There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding that conflict of interest incident and the thread is Kim Michele Richardson. Notability edit

The accusation that I am Richardson is outlandish (I'm a prolific and long-term Wikipedian). Also, she is a New York Times bestselling author, her books are widely available in libraries, Audible, and other services, and she clearly meets notability standards. Hi!
For notability, Wiki's basic criteria of notability: "People are presumed notable if they have received significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject." While Richardson's books may be known and perhaps even notable, she herself must also be independently notable of these books; there's no inherited notability. Since there's been no articles, materials, or actually anything written about Richardson herself, independent of a few small review features for her books, then it appears she fails the notability requirements. At least that's my understanding of things! Here's some more info on Wiki's notability: Wikipedia:Notability (people) LiteraryNut777 (talk) 12:32, 17 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
