This article implies that this is an example of a "Makutu lifting". This was simply a family suffering from a combination of poor education, low intelligence, mental illness and superstitution. There was no proper basis for any suspicion of demonic possession. What they called a makutu lifting was simply torture. It should not be the subject of an article, but if it must be the true nature of the events must be emphasised.—Preceding unsigned comment added by JohnC (talkcontribs) 07:18, 27 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • Support per nomination. Regardless of whether the victim was a willing participant or not, she was killed by the other participants during the exorcism. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 19:33, 25 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
