Does this really need its own article?

I concur--it seems frankly unnecessary. Could easily be incorporated into the "lol" article. Will delete barring significant objections.Waidawut (talk) 02:56, 15 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

This article has turned into an unnecessary and down right ridiculous editing war. "Kik" is short for kick drum. It is shortened by engineers for the purpose of fitting it onto the tape labeling the specific channel of a mixing board being used for the drum. This can be confirmed by many sources. (The Assistant Engineers Handbook by Tim Crich even has illustrations of it) Because the other things associated with "kik" are abbreviations (or even a typo for an abbreviation)for obscure/ridiculous/unnecessary things, the only valid use for this article is a redirect to the information regarding the kick drum. 70.69.132.168 (talk) 09:55, 3 January 2010 (UTC) ==Reply
